Feta Cheese, Basil Salad

Feta cheese is made up of sheep’s or goat’s milk. It contains lots of essential vitamins and minerals. It contains good levels of calcium which keep your bones strong, protecting against osteoporosis. In addition, calcium supports the health of your heart, muscles, and nerves. Feta cheese also contains vitamin B12 which helps promote normal brain function as well as increases red blood cell production. Though feta cheese has its benefits it is generally high in sodium and should be consumed in moderation. Can also eat this topped on some whole grain toast. This is a bold salad with a few fresh ingredients making a perfect balance of flavor that’s sure to satisfy.

Feta Cheese, Basil Salad


⅓ cup reduced fat feta cheese crumbles
3 persian cucumbers, diced
1½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
about 8-10 fresh basil leaves, chopped
olive oil, to drizzle
cracked black pepper to taste


  1. Combine feta cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, and basil leaves in a bowl and mix.
  2. Drizzle a bit of olive oil over the top and cracked black pepper. Mix again.
  3. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, serve and enjoy!
