Sauteed string beans are a perfect go-to for a quick side dish option. String beans provide low calories, lots of fiber, which aid in digestive health and weight loss by providing the sensation of feeling fuller for a longer period of time. They are also a good source of vitamins A, C, K, B6 and folic acid which provide benefits towards healthy vision, immune system health, the important role of blood clotting, proper function of the nervous system, and the maintenance and production of new cells that may prevent changes in DNA that could lead to cancer. This blend of citrus and garlic come together for a fresh, tender yet crisp, delicious bite. Add roasted nuts like slivered almonds, walnuts, or pecans to your dish for added nutrients and healthy omega-3 fats.
