This smoothie is loaded with goodies and packed with nutrients. You get almond milk which is a dairy-free source of milk and low-calorie. It contains lower carbs than regular milk and is a great source of vitamin E which helps prevent certain diseases. Strawberries are a great source of antioxidants which protect our skin as well as our tissues from damage. Bananas are a great energy booster with its richness in nutrient dense calories. They also provide a great source of potassium which is important for nerve and muscle function. Greek yogurt provides a dense source of protein which function towards the maintenance of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and even blood. Lastly, moringa leaf powder is a powerhouse of nutrients, minerals, and amino acids containing ample amounts of vitamins A, C, and E, calcium, potassium, and protein.
Moringa Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or soy, coconut etc)
1 cup baby spinach (or baby kale etc)
5 strawberries
½ a banana
½ tsp raw honey
2 tbsp vanilla greek yogurt
½ tsp – 1 tsp moringa leaf powder
Directions:
- Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend.
- Serve and enjoy!
