a sweet tropical smoothie, rich with immune boosting vitamin c
Though vitamin C, as most would think otherwise, is actually not the cure for the common cold it can prevent further complications. It is vitamin and antioxidant that can protect against immune system deficiencies, heart disease, prenatal health issues, maintain eye health, and even maintain skin health. Vitamin C, and its powerful properties, are required for the production of collagen, in the skin, connective tissues, bones, and blood vessels. Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid and can be found in a wide array of fruits and vegetables including, oranges, grapes, strawberries, raspberries, cabbages, cauliflowers, red peppers, potatoes, broccoli, chilies, watercresses, parsley, brussel sprouts, cantaloupes, and kiwi. A vitamin rich smoothie can be so versatile, and a simple effective way to ensure you are consuming adequate levels of the powerful antioxidant.
